What car would be considered an executive car? There is actually no formal limitation, although it is understood it has to be a car that cannot be easily afforded by an average employee, which is a little bit elitist, when you think of it. Nevertheless, people feel that expensive and luxurious cars should be privy to people with deeper pockets, preferably filled with cash. Needless to say that executive car leasing is the most expensive leasing there is, providing only high profile and exclusive cars and sedans.
While one would expect that the most expensive sporty cars would fall into this category, that's not the case. Normally a luxury sedan, a towncar, perhaps even a coupe up to the roadster would fit this description, too sporty would display a less serious image, therefore only serious looking, expensive, luxurious cars fit this description. Something a limo service would use, but no stretched cars.
In the USA it is almost customary for a large company to supply their executive officers with a BMW or Mercedes customarily leased for that purpose, in Europe any fine and exquisite car does the job. The company usually pays for all the fees and the actual lease, but the lease is made out to the executive officer as the beneficiary. Nevertheless, the company is the lease holder and in case the officer gets prematurely expelled, the company has the right to dispose of the car and the lease, if need be.
There is a possibility of short and long term leases, very often such leasing agreements are not with the intention to buy off the vehicle after the lease is expired, but on the other hand the mindset is to provide the executive officer with a promotional and status displaying car, not to buy him a private vehicle. Such leasing agreements usually come paired with an extensive maintenance package.
The duration of the lease can be anywhere from three months for a short term lease, to 36 months or even more for executive leasing contracts.
The mileage can be negotiated, usually the companies where the executive is not meant to drive around on business trips with the car, these limitations are welcome.
